Personal Description: Throughout this course, I learned about different types theories that have come to light in the world of pyschology that are used to explain personality. Between behavioral, biological, existential, and other theories, I learned a great deal about why people are the way they are and how theories have shifted throughout the years.

UNE Course Description: This course is designed to expose students to a variety of contrasting theories regarding the origin and nature of personality. These theories have served as the underpinning for applications of the field of psychology, and chronologically they represent changes in the field since its inception. Original readings from various theorists will be used as the backdrop for learning about the research, history, and paradigms within personality psychology.

Here is a reflection on the psychoanalytical theory of personality. I thought this was a great showcase of what I learned in this course because I analyze the theory itself and a film that we watched in class. I was able to consider the film in terms of this theory in order to further analyze its strengths and limitations.
