When I first learned that we would be doing coding in this course, I genuinely questioned if I should drop it. I never in a million years pictured myself learning how to code. I barely even knew what it meant! All I knew about it was that super smart people could code, so it terrified me that I was going to have to learn. Thankfully, Codeacademy took that fear away.

I started with Learn HTML. Codeacademy walks you through every step of the way, from explaining how something works, giving you an example, and then having you try it yourself. That last part, trying it myself, was what helped me most. I am a very hands on learner, so if I had only read the explanation and example, the lessons would not have stuck with me in the way they did. It definitely consisted of trial and error, but whenever I would run it and it came back correct, I felt really proud! HTML was probably the trickiest one for me and definitely took the longest time to complete. This could have been because it was the most challenging or because it was my first lesson on Codeacedemy. Regardless, I completed it and feel successful!

CSS felt similar to HTML, but I was really in the flow of things so it did not take me as long. Once you get in thr groove, all the signs and symbols begin to make sense, especially when you have to type ot out yourself again and again.

The last lesson, How to Make a Website with Namecheap, was really cool! It was super neat to bring a website to life, starting from nothing! This felt the most fun to me, and I felt I was able to complete it much easier than the HTML and CSS lessons.

Overall, I am very proud of myself for completing three Codeacademy courses. I really surprised myself, and I am happy to have learned a new skill!
